The Jet and Crystal stones in these bangles were purchased direct from Swarovski, then, reshipped back to Europe (Germany) where they were treated to a very beautiful after-market coating called Glacier Blue. The coating is applied at extremely high temperatures where vapour of various elements is fired onto the surface of the stone that is exposed upward. I chose to coat the faceted backs of the jet stones because there are more facets to show off that gorgeous Glacier Blue coating. The final cost of the stones is approximately 4x the original cost with all of the shipping and application of the metals fired onto the crystal. We only created 24 of each of these stones.
These pieces are plated with bright, hard Rhodium.
These Bangles are 2.75″ diameter which makes them an “industry standard” size suitable for a small to medium hand. (remember the bangle has to get over the palm of your hand which is usually substantially bigger than your actual wrist.)
